Mathematics and ICT

The Mathematics and ICT Department is focused on preparing students of Atebubu College of Education to becoming better and critical thinkers. In doing so, the students are equipped with the skills to understand the basic theoretical Mathematics concepts and through the use of ICT, recommend lasting solutions to classroom-related problems that confront them in the world of work.

The department is one of the oldest in the College. The department has competent and hardworking tutors who work assiduously and relentlessly in ensuring the aspirations of the College are met.

The core mandate of the department is to train mathematics and ICT teachers for basic schools in the country. The hallmark of the department is to produce quality mathematics and ICT teachers to address the challenges of teaching and learning mathematics and ICT in Ghanaian basic schools. Currently, plans are underway to introduce the Bachelor of Education Degree programme with a specialization in Mathematics and ICT in the department.
