ATEBUBU COLLEGE OF EDUCATION RECEIVES LAND CRUISER PRADO FROM GTEC
In a significant move aimed at improving the operational efficiency of Colleges of Education, the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has donated a Land Cruiser Prado to Atebubu College of Education. The donation forms part of a broader initiative by GTEC to support educational institutions across the country with much-needed resources.
At a formal ceremony, the Governing Council Chairman and Principal of Atebubu College of Education received the keys to the Land Cruiser Prado, which will bolster the college’s transportation capabilities, aiding in administrative duties, outreach activities, and overall mobility.
Atebubu College was one of three institutions to benefit from the Land Cruiser donations, alongside St. Francis College of Education and Gbewaa College of Education. Additionally, Akatsi College also received a Toyota Hiace van.
The Director-General of GTEC expressed the Commission’s commitment to supporting teacher training institutions, indicating that more vehicles would be procured for other College Principals in the coming months. This assurance signals GTEC’s ongoing efforts to enhance the infrastructure of educational institutions across the country.
The new vehicle is expected to significantly improve operations at Atebubu College, empowering the leadership team to carry out their duties more efficiently and providing greater access to resources, stakeholders, and other essential services.
This donation marks a significant step forward in strengthening the college’s capacity to serve its students and faculty while contributing to the overall improvement of education in Ghana.
