FRESHERS ORIENTATION
FRESHERS ORIENTATION ATECOE'23
The freshers orientation program held in the College was a successful event that was attended by all new students. The program was organized by the Student Affairs department and was designed to introduce the new students to the College, its facilities, policies, and procedures.
The program began with a welcome speech by the College Secretary, Mr. Evans Kofi Nyarko who welcomed the new students and emphasized the importance of the orientation program. This was followed by a presentation on the history and mission of the College, and an overview of the various departments and programs offered. The students were also given a tour of the campus, including the library, computer labs, classrooms, and recreational facilities.
Throughout the program, the new students had the opportunity to meet and interact with departments, staff, and current students, who provided them with valuable information and advice on adjusting to College life. There were also several Q&A sessions where the students could ask questions and seek guidance on academic and personal matters.
The freshers orientation program concluded with a social event, where the new students had the opportunity to meet and bond with their peers, and to participate in various activities. Other stakeholders such as the Ghana Health Service, Ghana Police Service and Nation Fire Service sectors took turns in training and teaching the students. This provided a great opportunity for the new students to get to know each other and to form new relationships.
Overall, the freshers orientation program was a great success, and it provided the new students with valuable information and resources to help them get off to a great start in their College journey. The College is looking forward to continuing to support the new students throughout their time at the institution.
